Newest Painting...wonderful colors

Well here she is. Remember I told you I took a photo of a daffodil in front of a bright blue tarp. I took that image and played around with it on picnik and made my banner up above. I really loved the colors so today I painted it. I am listing it in my etsy shop and hopefully someone else will love the colors, too. I have 3 more canvases staring at me. I think I'll paint something else.

It's funny how intimidating a blank canvas can be. You don't want to ruin a perfectly good canvas, after all you did pay a good penny for it, and you don't want to start painting one thing and then change your mind only to let it sit there for goodness knows how long. I still have this one below sitting around waiting for me to complete it. The cloud in the upper right hand corner was slopped on and leaves a lot to be desired. It's funny what you can learn on Youtube. You can type in "how to make---" and you'd be amazed at how many tutorials pop up.
The weather has been so fickle today. It was warm then rainy and cold and now the sun is shining and it sunny again. It's almost like Mother Nature is female or something. Fickle fickle. lol Enjoy your day my friends. I'm off to blog hop.

A painting from the beginning

Okay, so these photos really don't do it justice. The colors are more rich in person.  This was my gift to my mom for her birthday.  It measures 18"x24", not including the frame, so it is a rather large piece.  Anyway, it got me to thinking that I may want to do more. We'll have to see. I have a sewing box I created that I will show you in my next post. It has vintage laces and buttons on it. It's super sweet. I'm off to blog hop. See you soon.

Gorgeous Sunset last night and SHIMMER submission

WOW! I was running out to the store when I saw the pink and blue sky, so I ran back inside and grabbed my camera, hopped in the car and drove to a wide open area to get as many images as I could as the sun went down. How fun! I have not tampered with any of these images. You see them just as I did. God's color pallet. What a fantastic painting created for our pleasure. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. It is ultra feminine with fancy rhinestone jeweled magnets and pretty variegated satin ribbon with a shimmer, as well. It is now available in my etsy shop .

Joy to my heart

A painting that I did and then added ribbons for the tail feathers of the birds and dried spiral stems for the vines and silk flowers, a nest and eggs. The lady that ordered this from me, ordered it for her mother whom has alzheimers and loves birds. She said it put a smile on her face. What more could you ask for? What a nice feeling to know that your art brings joy to someone's heart.
