Maggie and Stephs Art Journal Spoiler Alert

This is Steph's Journal. Isn't her cover just gorgeous?! She wrapped it in one of her painted canvases. I am so taken with her paintings. She is uber talented! Uber...not sure that is a word? But you get the idea.
The prompt Steph gave us was to do something that represents what inspires you/your artwork. Well nature inspires me. Swirls appear in every doodle I have done since I was little. I also love color and inspirational words.

I chose the quote: "Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom". Marcell Proust  Stephanie and I love to garden and her blog is named Dragonfly Studios so I included a dragonfly.

This is Maggie's beautiful cover. Isn't the color so vibrant and happy?! She painted it inside and out with these gorgeous rich colors.

Maggie loves the sea and so I decided she needed a little bit of the summer to keep her warm during these fall days in Pennsylvania. Look there is a playful sparkling mermaid splashing in the water.
The quote I chose for Maggie's pages is by none other than Jacques Cousteau himself. Who better to quote than that guy, huh?.

"The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in it's net of wonder forever" So true, so true.

  1. Ooooh, Tammy, can you hear me squealing all the way in S. Carolina? I DO love the sea and this is a gorgeous reminiscence of it. I have lived on both coasts but have been landlocked for an awful long time now. Your pages will remind me of the peacefulness and inspiration that the sea gives to me. The quote from the master of the sea sums it all up. Hmmm, I'd love to grab onto that mermaid tail and take a ride!

  2. I've had the pleasure of working in both these books now and I agree with you Tammy, they are both absolutely gorgeous!

You've created lovely luminous and airy pages in Steph's book, and I really like the way the quote follows the swirls.

And Maggie's pages are equally pretty - I love the quirky details and the clear, bright colours - a real touch of summer on the page! x

  4. Hi Tammy, what a yummy post. So happy and peaceful and even though your pages are in 2 different books they are complimentary and each so fitting for Stephanie and Maggie. The thought that you put into each personality just shows what a wonderful person you are,
And I caught a glimpse of your red nail polish! It's comforting to know some things haven't changed :D
