Happy Monday!

Tarnished and Tattered. Love all things that encompass these two words. Here I made a "Skinny" which is a 3"x5" card as the basis and then you run with it. My swap partner loves green, Paris, script writing and vintage. She loved it.

What is it that draws us in when we see chippy paint, raveled edges, yellowed pages, vintage linens and anything special from a bygone era. I know for me, I love to imagine that the recipient treasured the item and that it was well loved. Age gives character. Well that's what I tell myself when I am doing my makeup. lol Fine wines get better with age and I think you do too.

Happy Monday!

  1. Hi Tammy! I the card too!
I have loved seasoned things and people as long as I can remember.
I always loved the first scuff on my new shoes when I was a kid.
Now I try to keep the new looking...
I love the history and the wonder in holding an object that someone I never knew held too.
I think that the feelings she had are somehow a part of it...it is comforting to feel connected to a time I know the outcome of...

PS: I'm happy to have a new friend to play scrabble with...and I don't mind a bit if you kick my butt:D

  4. Congrats on being featured of Sites to See!

I love anything worn and tattered too. Maybe it's because of the stories an object can hold. This little card is beautiful!
