Summertime

I'm already dreaming of summertime. I don't know about you but winter is a real drag here in central PA. Gray, gray and more gray days. Aaaaaahhhhhh.....
So anyway, I woke up this morning thinking about the trip to Florida we will take in June and the Family reunion we will attend in Virginia in July and then all of the weekend trips we will take to see mom in Baltimore. Trips to DC, Old Town Alexandria, VA, will all be along the way to and from.
The beach beckons us, as well. Here , we have a few state parks with beaches, picnic areas, canoes, volleyball nets, etc. Fun, fun!
Where are you going this summer? In mind body or spirit. :)

  1. Love the vintagey pic on this post! Ahhh, summer. I was just looking at our ugly, ugly back yard this morning, with dirty lumps of snow and dead grass...yuck! Come on green!

Anyway, lovely color composition in your blog. Very nice. Oh, and we're in Houston, so *sorry* the weather is lovely right now. But we'll be sweltering in heat soon. Hang in there!

  7. It's hit or miss here with Springtime weather in MN. One minute it's 60 degrees...the next a snow storm. We don't get april showers we get april snow showers. blah!

Your summer sounds exciting! My family we don't have any trips per say planned out. just plan on taking our son on more camping excusions, biking, walking, and playing. We are also dreaming of using our newly made porch this year. So we will enjoy the outdoors without the bugs eating us this year(screen porch).

  8. Ah Paulene, You will love your porch. We never had one until we bought this house. It is not screened in but it is our favorite place to enjoy meals, a glass of wine, the Sunday paper with coffee, and entertain friends in the summertime. I posted pics in an earlier post. So you can see it for yourself. Have fun using yours!
